ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION - 2025
The admission process for our college is conducted through the Centralised Admission Portal, guided by the Department of Higher Education, West Bengal, and the University of Calcutta. General Information and Requirement for Admission
- A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination (10+2 level) in or after 2022 is eligible to apply for admission to undergraduate courses.
- A candidate must have passed English (with full marks not less than100) in the previous qualifying examination to apply for B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com. Major and Minor courses. Eligibility criteria specific to different subjects and courses will apply as per the guidelines of the University of Calcutta.
- Aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks of the BEST FOUR subjects (each with at least 100 marks per paper). Marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies will not be considered for calculating aggregate marks.
- Admission will be conducted strictly on the basis of merit.
- Only SC/ST/OBC candidates from West Bengal are eligible for reservation benefits.
- Admission to any course at the college is provisional and subject to the final approval of the University of Calcutta.
- An anti-ragging declaration, as mandated by the UGC, must be submitted by the student at the time of admission.
- The college does not have hostel facilities.
- Merit lists for all subjects, the admission schedule, and all admission notices will be published on the Centralised Admission Portal.
- No separate communication regarding admission will be made to candidates individually.
- Admission to semester-based B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com. (4-year Major and 3-year Minor) programs under the Curriculum and Credit Framework (CCF-2022) of the University of Calcutta will be guided by the regulations of the University of Calcutta.
